she started out on the pets of friends page...     but that wasn't enuff for her!

a very pretty girl in her own right.... and in the words of my Mom...

                             girls deverve to get their way!

i'm trying to convince myself that every flock of sheep...

(aka... samoyeds...) needs a herding dog....

well... i fell in love w/ this dog from when she moved in next door as a pup...

and she fell in love w/ the boys...

except when i let her visit... (or when she dug under the fence and came in on her own!) she was an only dog and didn't like it!

they moved in july of 2003

around the middle of december they started calling me....

she dug out of their new backyard every day...

running loose in the neighborhood...

digging into other backyards that had dogs!

the last weekend in january 2004 they called again... they were at wits end i finally said, bring her over... i will find her a home!

day 1 - she looked at me like... "took me 7 months...

didn't anybody get the hints?!"

day 2 - left her w/ the white boys... full run of house and yards... 

no digging, not a thing moved in the house.

day 3 - wanted to jump on me when i came home... i said "no" ...

she said "ok.. i get it"

day 4 - i kinda forgot to put the ad the paper....

ok... 4 dogs! ... (don't tell the city of santa maria!)

after about two weeks my mom called and said...

"anybody buying that "finding her a home thing, because i'm not!" .... 

i told her i was looking...

but just not much past my own house...

gawd... i was getting myself prepared for downsizing since nik was 16... thinking 3 to 2 ... now 4!

once again... put me in the "whack job" column of the chart! 

but she is such a good girl.... she just turned four in september....

i'm thinking border collie, aussie, lab...

she has the exact markings of a smooth coated/tri-colored border collie but is taller w/ longer legs like a lab.... 

but unbelievably smart...

Klondike absolutely loves her and both Chance and Nik like her too.
