in June of 1999 i received an email from Marjean... i had dubbed her Chance's Godmother because she helped me find Chance. .. so we stayed in touch...
because of health issues w/ her mom the pup her mom got needed a new home.
he was Chance's brother... another Ice Breaker boy! i moved (and manipulated) heaven and earth, not to mention friends...(thank you jenna and dickie!!!)
and the arrangements for his flight from memphis were in the works...
a delayed flight, a van commandeered from my parent's garage, the midnight drive back from LAX... and here we were at 3:00am 7/20/1999!
kitty bo peep was checking out the crate...

Chance and Nik were checking out Klondike!
i let them sniff around until about 4:30am...
but they got along great....!!!
this was the new family at 11:00am...
Klondike had already kipped Chance's bone and Dagny was hiding somewhere!
he was raised right....
he is the sweetest, most loving boy i have ever met !!!
living w/ him is such a treat!
and he's smart too... by the time of his third birthday.... 6/12/2000.. he had learned to read and now always hangs out in my office/library...

a rainy night in winter... can't sleep..... wake up to read in bed....
what a soothing sight.... i love this little boy.....
june 2001 - now he's four years old.... seems like just yesterday but he's been here almost 2 years......

Klondike spent his 9th birthday week visiting vets and getting MRIs.....
but one nightmare week is nothing compared to the 7 wonderful years we had with him after he came to us from his Little Rock family....
this is probably one of my favorite pix from 1999 - the Bros !!!
