... getting ready to say goodbye to my "tropical beach" look living room....
living room make over....
... tropical beach to coastal cottage....
for the past 15+ years
i've loved my
"tropical - casablanca"
inspired living room.....
needed the
king kong cabinet
when i had a humongous
sony trinitron tv...
for the past few years
my flat screen has been
in there....
over the years
the rest of the rooms
have changed
from
"beach tropical"
to
"cape cod cottage"
style...
soooo....
nephew Derek and I hauled it out... his wife Liz (8 months pregnant!) directed traffic around us...
and two year old Caden supervised from the backseat... Ü
...now i'm going to sit by the curb for the next couple of weeks waiting for the delivery of my
new stuff!
april 30th...
first to arrive was the
tv cabinet!!!
(whoa... there is a window now!)
....may 6th...
just finished building the
couch/futon...
an end table comes this afternoon...
on monday
the chair and rug arrive...
coffee table is backordered
until the 16th...
then there are more pillows for the couch...
shopping for new lamps
tomorrow...
(also need a lotto ticket ! )
(got a text from Derek...
he sold my entire living room in a garage sale! )

couch won't be here for almost

moved half of the backyard
furniture inside!

just waiting for art work
and
coffee table...

we are finally done!
kinda funky...
but really the whole coastal cottage vibe i was going for.....
january 2013...
a year and a half later...
added a leather ottoman in front of the cute chair...
and loved everything except the little tiny coffee table...
got the new big one today...
of course, w/ Kobe standing in front of it...
it is hard to tell... but trust me...
it's twice the size... love it!
