Road Trip to Bend, Oregon

we've got dibs on this bed!
this is reeaallly boring!
saturday in bend...
this trip me n' the kids rented our
own house...
on a wooded 1/3 acre!
bogey goes exploring....
the kids check out the fire pit
and hot tub....
the house has four bedrooms...
and a great room...
kitchen and dining room...
but the couches are black velour!!!
i had mom bring over blankets...!
monday morning...
woke up to pouring rain
pounding on the sky lite...
<<<--- was kinda cool to watch tho...
so the kids played the
bite face game in the master bedroom --->>> cuz that room has carpet...
in the early evening it hailed!!!
so we made chili
and invited mom and dad
over for dinner...
tuesday....
cousin sprocket lives in bend...
she came over to play ball
w/ the pups....
in the early evening
the young ones and bogey
played the bite face game
while we bbq-ed
at the folks house...
wednesday....
in the morning rookie and kobe played "stick-stick-i've got the stick"....
but chance sat next to me... and no way could they make him participate...
in the afternoon mom & dad and bro cam came over for a bbq...
good thing i remembered to bring the pinquito beans...
friday....
in the afternoon we went
over to the folks...
sat out on the
front yard patio ....
the kids were watching the world go by...
mom & i were doing the same...
i was sipping a nice glass of wine....
saturday....
was supposed to be driving to california today....
or not.... didn't want to leave...
we love it here!
this afternoon we just sat out in the gorgeous backyard...
a band was playing in a
nearby park...
Eagles, Doobie Bros,
Chuck Berry, classic Beatles,
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young...
i had a good book,
glass of wine,
pistachio nuts...
lovin' life large!
and this evening...
bambi and mom
came to visit us
in the front yard!!!
i love it here!!!

another day...
just like
saturday....
perfect...
me relaxing...
pups cruising...
monday evening....
half way home...
back at the Comfort Inn in
Williams, CA
chance crashed...
kobe guarding the door...
rookie seriously relaxed...
bogey ever vigilant!
tuesday evening....
HOME!
(but obviously
Rookie has
forgotten the
"no dogs on furniture"
rule
while we were on
vacation!!!!)
