tuesday morning...7:00am

view out the bedroom window...

and up on the hill...

a hiking we will go...

bro Cam and Sprocket arrive...

my Bend Christmas tree Saturday...

the tree today!

the folks arrived later in the day...

they and Cam went

to check in at

The Breezeway...

we made chili and

invited them back

for the evening...

Christmas Eve Day...

went to visit the family at The Breezeway...

The Breezeway is perfect for the family...

one side is living area and a bedroom...

separate bedroom for Cam & Sprocket

on the other side of "the breezeway".

kinda drizzly weather...

thus the fro-ed hair....but...

me and the five dogs...PRICELESS!!!

bro Cam elected to guard the breezeway...

mom & dad were inside by the fire...

so me & the pups went hiking...

ya know....

i think i FREAKIN' love it here!!!

Christmas morning...

the sun was trying to come out after it poured all night...

love the rain on the roof at night...

kobe & rook were waiting by the tree...

the family was due any minute for a

Champagne brunch and opening presents!

in the afternoon the folks went back to the Breezeway to prepare the Christmas dinner...

i hiked around...

in the evening we played UNO for $1 a win...

i lost my $5 to get back across the Golden Gate Bridge...

looks like i can't leave...

friday... gorgeous sunny day...

we all strolled off to the pond

where sprocket showed off her tennis ball retrieving skills...

i really wanted to see if the young ones would swim cuz they love chasing sprocket when she chases the ball....

but nope...

they would only go in until their feet no longer touched the ground and then stopped...

later in the afternoon the grandpups

sit out in the sun

with the folks

overlooking the valley...

an all together

perfect

day!!!

saturday...

the folks head to Bend and Cam heads to Santa Maria

to see his kids and new grandson Caden...

Caden was born on October 18th

to Derek & Liz

is he cute or what!?!

i think so and he's not even a

Samoyed puppy!

this is him on Christmas morning...

(the whole family had matching sweats!)

back to The Other Place...

in the morning we went for an awesome walk...

for lunch we had the house special...

linguini & clams...

w/ a view of pups playing!

in the afternoon i read in front of the fire while kobe, rookie & bogey played outside...

chance was more than content to hang w/ me....

lovin' life large ..... again!

last hike of the day...

heading back to

The Buckeye...

i could stay here

forever!!!

sunday... the last day... <sigh>...

but another great day!!!!

last hike to the pond...

then we watched football...

and

the Raiders

even won!!!

last walk of the day we took

the road less traveled...

beautiful view south w/ a glimpse

of the valley...  new cottage spot???

well...

there really isn't a spot

that isn't perfect...

and now...

the good news is that

we get to come back

on february 15th!!!
